Make Maple Weekend™ Family Tradition
What’s more fun that spending a day with family and friends, tasting maple syrup products? Making Maple Weekend an annual tradition! The event is in its 18th year, and takes place on March 22-23 and March 29-30, 2014 from 10am – 4pm each day. Maple Weekend is presented by the New York State Maple Producers Association.
More than 110 maple producers across New York State will host open houses where the public can see how maple syrup and other related products are made. This family-oriented event is sure to delight visitors of all ages.
Participating producers will boil sap into maple syrup and many will demonstrate how to make other maple products. Visitors can sample and purchase maple products as well. Some sugarhouses will provide a variety of other activities to make your visit even more memorable.

Activities: Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes! We are open Saturdays and Sundays 8-2 throughout February, March, and April. Tender, "all-you-can-eat" pancakes, served with real butter, pure maple syrup, and a friendly smile are the specailty of the house! In the Milksfamily tradition, we welcome you to share in the warm and friendly atmosphere of syrup making while observing our wood-buring evaporator (as mother nature permits). Jugs of maple syrup, packets of maple sugar and jars of maple cream are available yearround in our gift shop. If you're interested in making your own maple syrup, we have the supplies.

Activities: Join us March 16 & 17 from 8am to 4pm for an old-fashioned pancake breakfast. Hamburgers, hotdogs, chili available noon to 4pm. Watch and learn how maple syrup is actually made. Taste real maple syrup and smell the comforting aroma that fills the sugarhouse as sap is boiled. Pass through our gift shop and take home pure NYS maple syrup to share with your family and friends. Maple cotton candy and maple sugar candy demonstrations will take place throughout both days.

Activities: Sample some of our favorite maple recipes! Maple cream and sugar also available. We will be offering tours of the Sugar House showing how maple products are made. Drinks will be served and there will be plenty of taste testing.
