Each package is unique to its area, but most contain overnight
accommodations and meals; and some also include a bus tour to local sugar
houses. The participating lodging properties and resorts, all members of the
NYS Hospitality and Tourism Association (www.nyshta.org)
are pulling out all the stops for Maple Weekend™ guests.
Here are some of the special maple offerings being planned:
- Resort gift shops will be featuring a variety of maple products
including jugs and fancy glass bottles of pure NYS Maple Syrup, maple
sugar, maple coated nuts, and maple fudge.
- Pillow gifts of maple sugar in select guest rooms.
- Chefs will be offering maple-themed meals and serving Maple Weekend™
tea and coffee.
- Cooking schools and maple recipes.
- Spas will be using and selling maple body and home products
including maple sugar scrub, soaps, and maple scented candles
