Yancey's Sugarbush has been in continuous operation since 1844 in the same woods by five generations of the Yancey family. Traditional methods of making syrup are still being used. Some tubing is used on the hills. Two large wood-fired evaporators boil the sap into syrup that is filtered and packaged fresh.
